Hi, my name is Ken, AKA "Six String Wiley". I live in Temecula Ca, and
am currently a self employed plumber. I began playing music when I was
16 years old and living in Springfield, Oregon. I traded a stolen bicycle
at a local pawn shop for my first guitar. It was on a blue series 10 electric
that I learned my first guitar chord; the all mighty power chord! Since
then I picked up tid bits of theory and skill with the frets. My biggest
step in learning to play was when I bought a chord chart, and learned
a few real chords. Since then I love not only playing, but also righting
my own songs. I love playing music with a bluesy feel, and things that
have some crunch and melody with it but really excel in finger picking.
I have been in a few performing bands in the past, concentrating on covers
from the 60's through the 90's. I joined Knollwit in late 2004. I have
truly enjoyed the friends I have made these last few months, and really
love the music we have been playing. Helping with our new songs and re-vamping
the old ones have been a real great experience for me. In all my years
of playing and performing, I have never been with a group of musicians
like these at Knollwit.. Rob's dynamic drum work, Shannon's unbelievable
bass playing, and Adrianne's unique guitar chords and changes, with her
electric lyrics, makes playing with this band a great experience that
I hope to be a part of for a long time. Now with the addition of Jessica
and Sean, it seems to me this group can really go far. I hope all who
read this and love our music will help spread the word of the Knollwit
gospel and most importantly, come see us at our shows. |
