Bio - Shannon Nauss
Bass / Cello

Shannon was born July 29th, 1983 on a Military base in Fairfield California. When he was too young to remember he moved to Downtown San Diego. He spent most of his childhood by himself talking to things that didn't exist. By the age of 7 his interest in music was already present. Playing with keyboards and rapping with the most ghetto of equipment, he consistently made tapes that would later be destroyed. During Junior High he grew a fondness for writing that still consist to this day. Finally at the age of 16 he was given his first bass. His life was forever changed on that day. He said to himself, "I have to get good at this. This is my only chance to get out of here." And he set out on his mission. Shannon had multiple failed band attempts before finally being asked to join Knollwit in 2003. Not having much success at bands, Shannon jumped at the opportunity. A year has passed since then, and Shannon now play's in two other bands along with Knollwit: Sanu an avant rock band, and Vossanine, a band still waiting to evolve. He also involves himself in various avante garde experiments, both alone and with others. Not too mention the various open jam formats all around the city of San Diego. What future lies for this young bass player? Who knows! Maybe he'll become a full time cellist instead. What ever happens, the fact still remains, he is one busy mofo.
